What data is collected and why
- Contact and commission forms — your name, email address, and anything you choose to write or upload (for example a phone number, budget, or reference photo). This is used only to answer your message or to prepare a commission offer. The legal basis is your consent and, for commissions, steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement.
- Emails you send directly — handled the same way as form messages.
- Blog comments — your name, email address, comment text, and the date and IP address of the comment. Your name and comment are shown publicly once approved; your email address is never shown. Every comment is checked before it appears, and the data is used only to show and moderate comments and to prevent spam. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the comments. Comments are kept until you ask us to delete them. If you tick “Save my name”, your browser remembers your name and email in a cookie for your next comment. The comment form is protected against spam robots by Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.), which checks your browser and IP address.
- Technical data — like any website, the hosting server records basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) in log files to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept only for a short time.
Form messages are delivered by email and are not stored in the website’s database. Your data is never sold or used for advertising.
Embedded content and links
Event pages show maps from Google Maps. The map only loads if you click “Show map”; then Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy. The site also links to Instagram, Facebook, and the Wonder Shop, which have their own privacy policies.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising cookies. With your consent we use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) to see how visitors use the site, for example which pages are visited; it only sets cookies after you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. Before that, or if you choose “Only necessary”, we use Google Consent Mode: the Google tag sets no cookies and only sends anonymous, cookie-less signals (for example that a page was viewed, without any identifier for you), which Google uses to estimate visits in aggregate. IP addresses are not stored, and you can change or withdraw your consent at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. The same Analytics property is used for our online shop. Technical cookies are also used when an administrator logs in, and by embedded Google Maps as described above.
How long data is kept
Messages are kept for as long as the conversation requires. If a commission leads to a purchase, related information is kept for as long as Finnish accounting law requires (currently six years). You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time.
Where data is processed
The website is hosted by Hostinger. Emails are delivered through the site’s email provider. These service providers process data only to provide their service.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to withdraw consent, and to receive your data in a portable format. To use these rights, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
Online shop
Purchases made in the Wonder Shop are covered by the shop’s own privacy policy and terms.
Artwork ratings and comments
In the Wonder Gallery you can rate artworks and leave comments. For a comment we store your name, your email address and the comment. Your name and comment are shown under the artwork after we have approved them; your email address is never shown and is only used if we need to contact you about your comment. For a rating we store only the stars and a scrambled one-way code made from your internet address, so that the same visitor cannot rate the same artwork twice; the address itself is not stored. You can ask us to remove your comment at any time by contacting us.
